Five Soft Play Pubs To Keep The Kids Entertained While You Enjoy The Sun

The weather’s finally starting to look better…

Summer is creeping up on us…

And the school holidays are already here.

Of course, for many it means the kids need entertaining.

By far one of the most popular ways to do that is to take them to one of the many soft play centres in the region.

In the past few years, supplying rope and netting obstacles for children’s soft play centres has become one of our biggest areas of trade.

Indeed, soft play centres are incredibly popular.

But with the summer sun out in full force, you might not want to be stuck indoors while the kids are off climbing a spider net or traversing a rope bridge.

It’s why we thought it would be useful to share five pubs in the region where you can enjoy the best of both worlds, with indoor AND outdoor soft play areas for the kids.

Here they are:

The Haven – Brewer’s Fayre, Appian Way

On the edge of Grimsby as you drive in from the A180, this Brewer’s Fayre offers you everything you need to enjoy a bite to eat and a relaxing drink while the kids play. There’s an outdoor play area as well as a big soft play area inside. It’s got a good rating on Trip Advisor, so definitely one for the list.

The Cricketers, Littlefield Lane

A little more of a traditional gastro pub style here, but still excellent for keeping the kids entertained thanks to Fuzzy Eds, a children’s soft play area built into the pub. The pub has just recently undergone a big refurbishment so worth visiting to see what’s new.

The Railway Inn, Woodhall Spa

If you’re looking for a day out and fancy travelling a bit further through the Lincolnshire Wolds and down to Woodhall Spa, The Railway Inn is an ideal place to eat, drink and entertain the kids with soft play areas inside and out. The village itself is lovely and worth a walk around while you visit.

Old Farmhouse, Scunthorpe

The Old Farmhouse in Scunthorpe is part of the Hungry Horse chain and contains a Wacky Warehouse soft play area for the kids. Another one here with a strong rating on Trip Advisor for the food, of which there’s a huge selection.

Home Farm – Brewer’s Fayre, Humber Bridge

If you’re happy to travel a bit further a field and across the Humber, you could visit the Brewer’s Fayre just on the north side of the Humber Bridge. It’s got a great outdoor soft play area as well as being situated close to the Humber Bridge Park, which makes for good entertainment too.

And there you have it – five great options to enjoy some down time with the family while the kids entertain themselves with some soft play.
