Nylon or Polyethylene: If You’re Looking for Twine, We’ve Got Exactly What You Need

Yes, we might be called Renco Nets

But sometimes it’s not netting our clients are actually after.

We actually supply businesses up and down the country with a huge amount of the raw material.

We’re talking about twine.

You can take a look at the full range of different twines we have available here:

See all of our Twine here.

Essentially, when it comes to twine, you’ve got two main types.

There’s nylon twine and polyethylene twine. Though they are quite similar to the untrained eye, there are some subtle differences that mean, depending on the job you need it for, one might perform better than the other.

Nylon twine is extremely strong and durable. It’s usually the option to go for if you’re looking for a thicker, more hardwearing twine.

It’s particularly good for outdoor use as it’s ‘rot proof’ and can be exposed to all types of weather without you worrying too much about it being damaged or worn.

The most popular nylon twine we supply is the white 6mm variety, although it’s also available in 3mm and 2mm varieties for lighter use in commercial and industrial settings.

As well as nylon twine, you’ve also got the option of polyethylene twine.

The fact is, polyethylene twine is really just as strong as nylon twine, but it is a bit lighter and not as thick. It’s most often used for fixing nets in children’s soft play settings.

Indeed, our polyethylene twine is available in a number of different colours – including red, blue, green and yellow – so it’s good for colourful soft play obstacles.

Though polyethylene twine is generally not as thick as nylon twine, we do supply it in thicknesses that range from 2.5mm up to the much thicker 6mm and 8mm options.

The fact is, whatever twine you’re looking for, we can supply as little as of it or as much of it as you need.

As always, you can email us at netting@renco.co.uk or call us direct on 01469 575804 and we can organise getting the twine you need out to you asap.
